Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday unveiled an ambitious vision for the future growth of Hyderabad and the Cyberabad region, asserting that his government was determined to avoid the urban planning mistakes witnessed in major metropolitan cities while creating world-class infrastructure to support the city’s rapidly expanding population.

Speaking after inaugurating/ laying foundation stones for a series of infrastructure projects and launching the permanent headquarters building of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC), Mr. Reddy said Hyderabad has emerged as one of India's foremost economic engines alongside Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Chennai. “While these cities have contributed significantly to the country's economy, many are now struggling with traffic congestion, flooding, pollution and unplanned urbanisation,” he observed.

“Hyderabad and its rapidly expanding peripheral regions, particularly Cyberabad, are witnessing unprecedented growth, attracting people from across Telangana, other States and even overseas. The growing population and expanding economic footprint necessitate a long-term strategy focused on planned urbanisation, modern civic infrastructure and efficient governance,” he said.

Mr. Reddy stressed that the western corridor of Hyderabad has become one of the most dynamic urban regions in the country, driven by IT, financial services and residential development. He said strengthening civic administration in the region is essential to sustaining its growth trajectory.
