The much awaited Bachupally flyover is finally a reality for the residents of Nizampet and surrounding areas, with Chief Minister A.Revanth Reddy inaugurating it during his city tour on Monday.

The flyover, whose construction has given traffic nightmares to commuters from areas nearby, is expected to facilitate smooth traffic movement between Miyapur crossroads and Gandimaisamma.

The 1.3 km long flyover, which comprises a four-lane carriageway, has been completed at a cost of ₹65.53 crore, a press note from HMDA informed.

The CM also laid foundation stone for major bridges for service roads on both sides of the Outer Ring Road (ORR), along with the formation of a new service road from the exit 18A up to Narsingi Ring Road at an estimated cost of ₹229 crore.

The project addresses recurring flooding of existing low-level causeways, traffic congestion near Nandi Circle, and operational issues at the exit, the statement said. The works include construction of bridges, raising of approach roads, drainage and protection works, and provision of traffic safety measures. The project will ensure uninterrupted connectivity to Narsingi, Kokapet and the Financial District. Administrative sanction has been accorded and tenders are proposed to be invited shortly.

Another work that Mr.Revanth Reddy laid foundation for is the widening of the left main carriageway of ORR from Nanakramguda to Gachibowli. The Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited is undertaking the widening of the work over a length of 1.75 km at an estimated cost of ₹26.50 crore, the statement said.

The project includes provision of an additional lane, widening of existing underpasses and culverts, and junction improvements. Administrative sanction has been accorded and the work has been awarded, the statement said.
