The Osun State APC Governorship Campaign Council has called on Governor Ademola Adeleke to provide explanations regarding the deployment of operatives of the Osun Amotekun Corps and the utilisation of security funds under his administration. In a statement issued on Monday and signed by the council’s Director-General, Oluwole Oke, the opposition campaign body expressed concern over reports that some Amotekun personnel were assigned to duties at a private energy facility in Ondo State. According to the council, information available to it indicated that dozens of Amotekun operatives were stationed at Pacific Energy Company in Omotosho Village along the Benin-Ore Road, Ondo State. The statement added, “The officer in April 2026 was involved in a motorcycle accident on his way to Ondo to report at the duty post, sustaining severe head injuries.” Oke added that it had received information suggesting that the officer did not receive adequate support after the incident. “Tragically, the officer reportedly died afterwards due to the absence of proper medical care and support,” the statement said.
