Have a heart for those fellow Africans now desperately fleeing our country
Most people from other African countries are not here because they want to be, but because their countries have been ruined by corrupt elites. Turning our anger on them instead of those elites is the most inhumane and cowardly thing to do.
Many individuals from across the African continent have sought refuge in other nations due to the systemic destruction of their home countries by self-serving political figures. Rather than choosing to migrate, these people are often forced out by circumstances beyond their control. Directing hostility toward these vulnerable populations is both misguided and cruel. Instead of scapegoating those who have been displaced, citizens should focus their frustration on the corrupt leadership responsible for the instability. Treating migrants with compassion is a necessary step toward maintaining human dignity in the face of regional crises.
This perspective highlights the importance of distinguishing between the victims of political corruption and the perpetrators of societal instability.
