Marabá will host its 39th Junino Festival from June 19-28, 2026, featuring traditional Brazilian June celebrations centered on the theme 'Cambraia and Palmica: Masters of Marabá's Traditional Culture.' The event, organized by the Municipal Culture Department in partnership with the Cultural League of Marabá, will take place at Arena Z-30 and showcase quadrilhas (traditional square dance groups), boi-bumbás (folk dance performances), and various cultural competitions. The festival opens on June 19 with a cultural parade featuring juninas and boi-bumbás, special performances, and the Diversity Queens competition. Throughout the ten-day celebration, audiences will enjoy presentations from youth groups, access-level groups, and main competing groups, with the festival concluding on June 28 with championship finals.
The festival represents one of Marabá's most significant cultural events, preserving and celebrating the region's traditional popular culture and heritage through community participation.
