S. Korea, Mongolia launch strategic dialogue for critical minerals, supply chain cooperation

South Korea and Mongolia have established a new strategic dialogue framework focused on securing critical minerals and strengthening supply chain resilience. The initiative, launched at the vice ministerial level, aims to deepen bilateral cooperation in areas essential to both nations' economic interests. Mongolia possesses significant reserves of rare earth elements and other minerals vital for modern technology and green energy production, making it a strategically important partner for Seoul. Through this dialogue, the two countries plan to coordinate on resource procurement, trade logistics, and industrial collaboration to reduce supply chain vulnerabilities.
